Luxurious hut on the ocean for enjoying both ocean and forest

This project was initiated to make a member-only hotel for obtaining stable value without relying on a location. Its value is reconstructed to transform it into a resort hotel, taking maximum advantage of the local appeal. Located in the abundant nature of a quasi-national park, Minamiboso-Tomiura Royal Hotel is surrounded by the ocean and a forest. The point of this renovation was to avoid the removal of the existing interior as much as possible. Four elements were specifically arranged: (1) lined pillars directing visitors' consciousness to the ocean, (2) a "tree root sofa" under a large tree, (3) wooden stairs, and (4) a green wall to invoke an image of a forest. From the moment that guests step into the lobby, they will feel a sense of elation and expectation for time in the resort within a dynamic nature park.

海と森　両方を楽しめる贅沢な海小屋

場所性にとらわれずに安定した価値観を得られる会員制ホテルとして始まった事業を、土地の魅力を最大限に生かしたリゾートホテルへと価値構築を行った。ここ南房総富浦ロイヤルホテルは自然豊かな国定公園内にある海と森林に囲まれたホテルである。改修のポイントは既存内装の撤去部分を可能な限り抑え、1：海へと意識を導く列柱　2：大木の麓の「木の根っこソファ」　3：木の階段　4：森をイメージさせる壁面緑化の4つのエレメントを明確に配置することで、ロビーに一歩足を踏み入れた瞬間からダイナミックな自然公園の中で過ごすリゾート時間への高揚感と期待感を演出した。
