Square Design Interiors explores and applies interior architecture, focusing on retail and residential projects, providing services either physically or online. Square Design Interiors travel, work and deliver projects all over Greece and the Balkans. As of August 2013, Square Design Interiors has partnered with studio AlkyTECA in Italy, joining design perspectives and professional forces in order to provide excellent executed projects in both countries.
Sandra Korka was born in Thessaloniki, Greece and studied architecture at the University of Greenwich, London. Returning back to Greece, she founded Square Design Interiors in 1996, while in parallel and for a decade she taught Interior Design at a local institution accredited by a UK university.

Working on the interior design of a shop is quite a challenge, as many diverse factors should be integrated in the design approach. A key factor and often a starting point is, of course, the brand, as the final design scheme should reflect the brand’s philosophy and vision. In other words, the interiors should tell the brand’s story and this should be done very effectively to result to sales. In order to do that, the overall environment should be considered to be a complete set, allowing the customer to walk through it pleasantly and have an exciting and relaxing experience.
Focal points, power walls, multifunctional fixtures, powerful and story-telling window displays need to be adopted in the design strategy in order to make shopping a wonderful experience. At the same time, practical issues such as the counter and the changing rooms, their size and location within the store are to be considered very carefully. These points are the ones with the greatest interaction between customers and staff and they should be designed in such a way as to facilitate their interaction and result to a happy returning customer, as this is the most important factor of them all.
Designing a women’s apparel store, all of the above and many more issues need to be taken into consideration, as the particular target group is quite savvy and all solutions should be filtered very carefully. At this

With the combination of brand-aware, client-oriented interior design and focused visual merchandizing, the products were promoted in the best possible way, resulting successfully to customers having a relaxing and comfortable shopping experience.
