Living in the Woods

A housing complex located in a quiet residential area in Suginami Ward, Tokyo. It was required to participate in after the architectural plan was mostly prepared, and to increase the value of common spaces without changing the housing unit plan. By utilizing the recessed location at the far end of a narrow street and maximizing the garden connected to the entrance lobby, a common landscape surrounded by nature was created. Furthermore, the gaps between misaligned housing units are used as green spaces, which simultaneously bring in light and wind to improve the environment. We comprehensively produced the project in anticipation of future business development, from the plan of a rich green space to the design of the logo, in pursuit of a space with a unique identity that fits into the local community.

木立の中に住む

杉並区の閑静な住宅街に位置する集合住宅。建築計画がほぼ整った段階から参入し、住戸プランを崩さず共用部の価値を高めることが求められた。小道の突き当たりという奥まった立地を生かし、エントランスロビーと連続する庭を最大化して、自然に囲まれた共用の風景をつくった。また、住戸同士をずらして生まれる隙間を緑地として生かし、同時に光と風を取り込むことで環境を向上している。豊かな緑地計画から今後の事業展開を見据えたロゴマークのデザインまでを統合的にプロデュースし、地域になじみながら固有のアイデンティティを持つ居場所づくりを目指した。
