The project is a joint development by three families with a passion for the mountains. They chose to place three homes within a shared garden featuring a vegetable plot, a seating wall and a sun meadow. To the east, the garden flows naturally into the mountain landscape of

The site lies on the edge of the centuries-old French

hameau

Ventelon in the French Alps. The houses were carefully positioned in the Alpine landscape so that each dwelling enjoys both a sense of shelter and breathtaking panoramic views.

The typology of the houses is based on the architectural language of traditional buildings. Local materials such as lime render, slate roofs and larch timber were used in a contemporary manner, allowing the modern design to integrate naturally into the existing village fabric. The façade openings appear almost randomly placed, yet from the inside they create deliberate, composed views of the magnificent surroundings.
