LGMA Offices
Client: Update Group
Value: €150,000
Built Area: 333 sqm
Start Date: March 2018
End Date: December 2018
Project Type:
Workplace + Interiors
The offices of the Local Government Management Agency (LGMA) are located at Phoenix House, Conyngham Road, Dublin 8. The building dates from the early 1980’s and has been home to the LGMA and its predecessor agencies since then. There had been no significant upgrades to the building since it was originally built. DMOD were appointed as architects to carry out the refurbishment and interior architecture to the building.
The proposed works included for the upgrades to the main stair and lift lobbies, upgrades to the reception area, upgrades to the central portion of floors 3, 4, 5 and 6, upgrades to the canteen space, upgrades to collaboration space for employees, and works in selected locations throughout the building (and carpark) to improve fire resistance and fire safety.
The resulting refurbishment and interior architecture creates a sculptural central core which accommodates facilities which can be broken down to offer interaction, service, focus and collaboration spaces and includes facilities such as meeting spaces, phone booths, focus rooms etc. The remainder of the open floor is given over to the open plan desking and break-out / meeting spaces using a clean colour palette throughout.
