The project is located in the “boat shaped” Zhoushan archipelago of the southern Yangtze River estuary, the only prefecture-level administrative district established on islands nationwide. As a part of the second phase of Zhoushan Donggang New Area Construction, the project is defined to be both an international urban landmark and an upscale coastal community for leisure and entertainment.

Starting from the concept of "a mobile urban scenery", the design aims at creating a water-themed residential garden with modern, stylish and ecological values. Drawing on the inspiration from waves, the local featured natural element, also the flourish and beautiful products of water, the overall design applies a persistent sense of rhythm to endow the project with contemporary beauty.

Based on the local features, the design makes an emphasis on the close connection between the sea and the project site. Considering the existing terrain, waterfront, vegetation and other non-renewable natural elements, the landscape design well integrates wave-like curve shape to echo with wave-shaped roofs of the surrounded residential buildings, thus reflecting a natural curvaceous charm on the whole site. Additionally, the design also pays attention to the three-dimensional effect of the landscape. By means of differentiating spatial scales of public space, it considerately takes residents’ living experience and sensory perception into account. The systematic and interactive landscape design approaches and elements highlight the unique character of this garden. Meanwhile, the organic, natural living concept is also fully expressed through the modern design language.
