Gables Seaport introduces a new 23-story, 300,000-square-foot mixed-use development and vibrant new living space to Boston’s ever-evolving Seaport District. Providing both architectural and interior design services, CBT's design approach championed community activation from the inside out, reflecting the neighborhood's growing status as an urban destination. Amenity spaces defined by natural lighting, indoor outdoor connections and a blend of refined textures and materiality offer comfortable settings for residents and visitors to interact and connect both with each other and with the city. Contrasts between light wood, dark brick, and steel columns create an interplay between industrial influences and notes of fine craftsmanship to establish a detailed yet defined aesthetic throughout each space. A large community lounge equipped with pool table, shuffleboard, kitchenette, fireplace, and a variety of seating offers space to socialize and entertain, while co-working space, study areas, and private conference rooms allow for more focused activity. Complete with swimming pool, yoga deck, green space, grill stations, ping pong, and lounge and dining areas, a 3rd floor outdoor amenity deck harnesses the energy of the city, flaunting views of the street below and Boston Harbor beyond. In the evening, hanging lights throughout the deck illuminate these interactive spaces, while bringing a refined softness to the urban, industrial elements.
