Winner – Urban planning for Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni hospital

We are proud to announce that Ateliers 2/3/4/, in a consortium with SEGAT (lead partner), has been awarded the contract to provide project management assistance for the urban planning of the former hospital in Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni.

This project is part of the Action cœur de ville and NPRNU programmes for the municipality of Saint Laurent du Maroni.

Situated between the historic urban fabric of the town centre and the Maroni river, close to the transportation camp and the Chinese village, the former André-Rosemon hospital is a heritage gem, with its listed architecture rich in history.

Ateliers 2/3/4/ is working alongside SEGAT to provide its architectural, urban and landscape expertise, as well as its knowledge of the Guianese territory. The aim is to examine the future of the former hospital, and its openness to the city and the river, by imagining the new programmes and uses that will take place there.

The project began in the week of 3 July 2023 with a site visit to the old hospital and the town centre and a workshop with elected representatives, technicians and partners led by Florian Luneau, Associate Landscape Designer (Ateliers 2/3/4/) and the SEGAT teams Margaux Nebout, Enora Bechet de La Peschardière and Yassine Bouhadjeb.
