Situated in a romantic suburban district surrounded by lakes, this single-family home takes full advantage of its steep hillside plot by embedding a lower-level spa in the terrain with a view over the terraced garden. The design takes its cues from Muthesius‘ country houses in the suburbs of Berlin with their typical roof contours, white lacquered wooden elements and their inextricable transitions from house to garden. A cool color palette with contrasting bay windows and winter gardens lend the overall picturesque appearance a contemporary refinement.
