横浜市山手町計画 – B

横浜市山手の丘の一角に位置する、低層分譲集合住宅。近傍の分散する6つの敷地で同事業者が展開するPJの一つであり、外構植栽や建物外壁などで連続感を作り出し、山手地区の新たな景観を担っていく意識を強く設計した。本敷地では、駐車場の地下化、前面道路に面してセキュリティラインの後退による緑豊かな前庭をだれもが利用できる散策路やベンチを設け、かつての洋館が並ぶ山手の風景を目指した。ボリュームの分節・雁行配棟・軒の深さ等の手法に邸宅のスケール感を継承し、内外装には職人一つ一つ手造りのレンガタイルを採用した。その色や積み方を再現するディテールの使い分けにより豊かな表情を生むとともに空間に「質感」を与え、街並みを感じながら住まう、山手の洋館らしい居住空間を追求した。

A Low-Rise Condominium Residence Situated on the Hills of Yamate, Yokohama

This project is one of a series of developments undertaken by the same developer across six dispersed sites in the surrounding area. Through the integration of consistent landscape design and architectural finishes, such as exterior wall treatments and planting schemes, its visual continuity has been established with the intention of contributing to a new landscape identity for the Yamate district.

On this site, the parking has been implemented on the underground and the security boundary has been set back from the front road to create a generously landscaped forecourt, which includes a publicly accessible pathway and seating areas. This design approach draws inspiration from the historic streetscape of Yamate, once lined with Western-style residences.

The building massing has been carefully articulated through volumetric segmentation, staggered placement, and deep eaves, evoking the scale and atmosphere of a traditional estate. Both interior and exterior finishes feature hand-crafted brick tiles made by skilled artisans. Subtle variations in detailing provide depth and texture to the architecture, creating a richly expressive spatial experience. The design offers a refined living environment, which embodies the character of Western-style residences in Yamate, while creating a strong connection to the surrounding urban scenery.
