大本山永平寺「親禅の宿」柏樹關

Shinzen Inn

An inn located in front of the gate of Eiheiji Temple, a temple blessed with rich nature in a deep mountain valley.

It was designed to harmonize with nature by incorporating the landscape of the Eiheiji River that runs along the path to the temple and the mountains of Echizen, which changes its expression from season to season. The space is finished in local Eiheiji cedar wood and rendered with deep shadows from clear natural light and soft ambient light, creating an experience that touches the heart of Zen.

親禅の宿

深山幽谷の豊かな自然に恵まれた、永平寺の門前に建つ宿泊施設。

参道に沿って流れる清流永平寺川と、四季折々に表情を変える越前の山並みを借景に取り込み、自然との調和をはかった。地域の特性を活かした永平寺杉を用いた空間は、清らかな自然光と、まわりこむやわらかな光により、深みのある陰影を生みだし、禅の心に触れる体験を演出する。
