Rays on the Bay is an 8,000 Sq. Ft. open-air restaurant located at the ocean’s edge.  The design intends to capture the daring spirit of early Hawaiian ocean explorers.  The undulating, exposed wood beam ceiling echoes traditional Polynesian stick-and-string map making techniques, while a series of canoes at the entry cast a pattern of shadows on the floor representing theoretical navigation charts.
