the concept:

A Sense of belonging

A premium retirement community, nestled on the stunning peninsula between Hobsonville and Scott Points, Orion Point is an idyllic setting to enjoy retirement. Featuring superb amenities, exceptional homes and a sparkling community spirit - the clubhouse is at the village heart.

The location is near the old airforce base and hence the naming of “Orion” point after a specific aircraft.

Well-designed spaces have the power to enrich lives, foster community, and provide comfort. This philosophy was central to our approach for the Clubhouse at Orion Point Retirement Village, a project where thoughtful design meets functionality, creating an environment that enhances the lifestyle of its residents.

the outcomes:

A social hub with flexible spaces

The Clubhouse was designed with flexibility in mind, ensuring it caters to the wide range of activities residents enjoy. Whether it’s a quiet coffee with a friend, an exercise class, or a large community event, the space effortlessly adapts to different uses. We designed multiple zones within the Clubhouse, each with its own purpose, from the cozy lounge areas with plush seating to larger open spaces for group activities.

There are subtle references throughout the clubhouse to the nearby airforce base including Cast Glass Jet Plane’s by Simon Lewis-Wards and limited edition Michelle Bryant Flight Structure Plan prints.

The layout encourages social interaction while also offering private corners where residents can retreat with a book or simply enjoy a moment of peace. This balance of social and personal spaces was crucial in making the Clubhouse feel welcoming to everyone.
