Ziggurat Home

is a small holiday home near the Balaton lake in Hungary.

The house consists of two independent volumes, the living area on the ground floor and the sleeping area on the first floor. The two volumes rest on an external structure which prevents them from overturning. The central vacuum is designed to guarantee winter heating through the stove and summer cooling through natural ventilation upwards.
