Hoxton Williamsburg
Brooklyn, NY
A hotel creates an authentic experience for visiting guests and the local community, with a nod to the neighborhood’s historic character.
Set on the former factory grounds of Rosenwach, the maker of iconic water towers that dot the New York skyline, The Hoxton, Williamsburg is a place to sleep, work, eat, and play any time of the day. Perkins Eastman brought to life a nine-story boutique hotel that incorporates a historic warehouse renovation, working with developers at Ennismore. Featuring variegated brick derived from the original factory and a dark gray corrugated metal tower, the building maintains long-standing neighborhood characteristics. At the heart of the courtyard, a cantilevered tower structure rests dramatically on a sculptural steel column, creating a dynamic entryway. Uniquely appointed and efficiently designed, guest rooms are compact, yet airy and comfortable. Public areas include a rooftop dining establishment with striking views; an all-day restaurant with outdoor spaces, and a multi-media courtyard with bleacher-style seating for casual gatherings.
