Together with China Academy of Urban Planning and Design (Shenzhen), Tekuma Frenchman was a finalist for the urban design international competition of the new Hangzhou headquarter base. The total design area was 400 hectares and the project vision was to reinvent the future of work, thinking of news ways to attract companies and talent to the city.

The Spectrum headquarters base in Hangzhou is designed as an interface to innovation and the city. Public amenities from retail, entertainment, to exhibition, and shared productive spaces are consolidated into a horizontal bar which runs along the entire site, flanked by offices on one side, and an urban canal on the other. While companies benefit from offices and facilities specific to their needs, they can mix and collaborate through the Spectrum bar which also acts as a window onto the creative pursuits of Hangzhou’s talent.
