One Campus Martius Reimagination

Detroit’s transformation began with One Campus Martius, then called the Compuware Building, in 2003. Its presence jump-started the economic reinvestment in Detroit’s downtown core. ROSSETTI’s design envisioned an entrance without stretched arms embracing Campus Martius Park and the city beyond. The building creates a visual connection of transparency as a metaphor for rebirth of a vibrant commercial city.

In 2015, ROSSETTI was invited by the owner to expand the building, resulting in a 16-story building on top of an existing three-story podium. Envisioned as a transparent jewel box, the addition maximizes the amount of natural daylight into each floor. At the top level, an event space and terrace act as an ethereal and modernist soft loft space. 16-foot-tall glass walls along the north facade provide the ultimate visual backdrop for a variety of events and speakers. Designed for maximum flexibility, the space will host a variety of corporate and community events. ROSSETTI also designed a new wellness and fitness center, COR, on the fourth floor to blend health into the holistic urban experience.
