Overview

Groundswell collaborated with the development team and restaurateur to bring Hamilton’s to life, a stunning ground-floor restaurant located in Detroit’s vibrant Corktown neighborhood.

Situated within the Godfrey Hotel, the design was meticulously crafted to ensure a seamless transition and timeless elegance, establishing Hamilton’s as a versatile all-day dining destination that harmonizes with the hotel’s overall aesthetic.

Inspired by the restaurant’s elevated classic menu with modern twists, our design features a sophisticated palette complemented by dramatic accents. A standout element is the custom light fixtures, strategically placed to create warmth and ambiance throughout the space.

To balance the cool-toned color palette, we introduced rich wood tones of walnut and white oak, adding natural warmth. Luxurious gold zellige tile and bronze metal finishes on the lighting fixtures enhance the space’s opulent and refined atmosphere, elevating the dining experience to new heights.
