Le Rustique Vietnam
When the Sustainability of PUKACO Concrete Paint Becomes a Spatial Language
Address: 10 Nguyen Phong Sac, Cam Le District, Da Nang, Vietnam
Client / Investor: Le Rustique Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Design Principal: Architect Hoang Viet
Construction by: GREENCONCEPT
Material: PUKACO Concrete Paint
From the very first glance, Le Rustique chooses not to impress with oversized signage or striking colors. Instead, the entire architectural volume is wrapped in a warm, terracotta-toned concrete paint, evoking a sense of rawness, solidity, and closeness to nature.
The PUKACO concrete paint surface reveals subtle tonal variations, a soft texture that catches sunlight gently like living skin. The longer one looks, the more depth emerges. It is a quiet beauty, never loud, yet enough to make passersby slow down.
For Le Rustique Vietnam, sustainability is not a trend, but a foundational principle in how experiences are created. PUKACO concrete paint is therefore selected as a strategic material for this journey.
The challenge for the Le Rustique space was not merely to be beautiful, but to: + Support healing experiences + Maintain long-term relaxation + Operate sustainably over time + Avoid visual, olfactory, and emotional overload
To achieve this, Le Rustique chose PUKACO as the concrete paint material partner for the entire spatial foundation.
1. Sustainability in the Approach – When Space Invites Slowness
From the outside, Le Rustique is understated. Rounded architectural forms, warm earth-toned surfaces, and large glass openings dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior.
Passersby are not pulled in they are gently invited.
This is emotional sustainability: + no pressure + no tension + no unnecessary mental energy consumption
2. Sustainability in Light Reducing Consumption, Enhancing Perception
During the day, natural light flows through the glass façade, softly reflecting on neutral surfaces. The space remains clear and warm without the need for strong artificial lighting.
At night, warm ambient lights are suspended low, indirect and glare-free. Lighting here is not meant to “display,” but to guide emotion.
Sustainability, in this sense, goes beyond energy saving:
+ reduced eye strain
+ respect for circadian rhythms
+ prolonged relaxation
3. Sustainability in How the Body Sits, Stands, and Touches
Low curved seating, wide benches, small tables, and generous spacing ensure the space does not encourage rushed consumption nor impose a sense of departure.
Visitors are able to:
+ sit for long periods without fatigue
+ rest their hands on cool, softly textured surfaces
+ feel grounded, stable, and at ease
This is bodily sustainability an aspect rarely prioritized in commercial spaces.
4. Sustainability in Scent – Subtle, Non-Addictive, Non-Intrusive
Le Rustique’s experience is built around aromatherapy, yet scent here is never overpowering, clinging, or imposed.
Fragrance diffuses slowly and evenly, with moments of pause. Space, light, and materials all step back to allow scent to lead.
Olfactory sustainability means: + no sensory fatigue + no dependency + no emotional desensitization
5. PUKACO Concrete Paint – The Quiet Foundation of a Sustainable Ecosystem
Within this holistic approach, PUKACO concrete paint plays a silent but essential role: + no visual competition + no odor emission + no complex maintenance requirements
It allows the space to remain stable over time, enabling Le Rustique to focus on what truly matters: people and their experiences.
6. Sustainability in Operation – A Space That Lives with Time
Le Rustique does not require seasonal décor changes or constant renewal to stay attractive. The space is designed to: + be used for the long term + age gracefully + require minimal intervention
Here, sustainability means embracing time rather than resisting it.
Le Rustique Vietnam does not approach sustainability as a technical concept, but as a way of living: + sustainability in breath + sustainability in light + sustainability in emotion + sustainability in how people choose to stay within a space
When people stay longer, consume more slowly, and feel more deeply—that is sustainability.
