Brera Outdoor village

Tra i vari eventi del fuori salone di quest’anno l’outdoor village realizzato in Brera, è senza dubbio quello che più si addice al profilo di questo blog: un evento atto a condividere un’interpretazione dell’esterno come nuova dimensione dell’abitare, portando così l’attenzione su tutti quelli che sono gli spazi esterni e su un approccio ad essi come se fossero le stanze di una casa e non più un’appendice esterna.

Ecco allora che proprio per la creazione di questo evento, diverse aziende aprono una collaborazione per presentare un progetto unico che reinterpreti l’esterno con la stessa ricercatezza dell’interno:

sono i partner promotori di questo particolare evento.

Il Brera Outdoor village si è svolto in una cornice particolarmente suggestiva e soprattutto diversa dal solito poiché spesso chiusa al pubblico: Palazzo Cusani in via Brera, attuale sede del Comando Militare Territoriale di Milano.

La scelta di questa location ha rafforzato il concept che si trovava dietro all’allestimento, cioè quella dimensione dell’abitare che uscendo dai confini domestici rivela “luoghi segreti” divenuti preziosi come i cortili, le terrazze e i giardini nascosti dalle mura metropolitane; Ludovica+Roberto Palomba (architetti che si sono occupati dell’allestimento) descrivono così il loro progetto:

<<Volevamo creare un’ isola di relax nel centro di Milano durante il Salone del Mobile, il momento più emozionante e frenetico di tutto l’anno “scolastico” del design. Materie e materiali per vivere l’outdoor e non solo>>.

Purtroppo il tempo non è stato particolarmente clemente con l’allestimento; freddo e pioggia non hanno aiutato il concept che girava attorno al relax, ma gli eventi e l’allestimento sono riusciti almeno nell’intento di mostrare i prodotti delle aziende partner e di creare uno scenario suggestivo.

The Brera Outdoor village took place in a setting very different from the usual suggestive and especially since they often closed to the public: Cusani Palace in Via Brera, current seat of the Territorial Military Command of Milan.

The choice of this location has reinforced the concept that was behind staging, that is the size of dwelling that came out of the domestic boundaries reveals “secret places” become as precious as the courtyards, terraces and gardens hidden by walls metropolitan; Ludovica + Roberto Palomba (architects who have worked on grade) thus describe their project:

Unfortunately the weather was not particularly kind to the construction, cold and rain did not help the concept that turned around to relax, but the events and the construction succeeded at least in order to show the products of partner companies and to create a breathtaking sight.
