This project involved the complete redesign of a 250 sqm, five-story shophouse into a modern hostel located in the heart of Bangkok. Design objective was to elevate the budget-travel experience through thoughtful space planning, durability-driven material choices, and a clean, contemporary identity that compliments the building's narrow form.

The concept is shaped around a sense of ease, spaces that guide without instructing, materials that comfort without decoration. Wood finishes become the anchor of the entire experience, bringing coherence from reception to rooms. Its warm grain and honest detailing set a steady mood and tone: doors, floors, and joinery share a common language.

A warm, composed furniture board centered around light timber and soft neutrals. Built-in joinery forms the anchor, paired with a textured lounge chair and compact round table for balance and comfort. Layered materials with slats, stone, subtle textiles, and matte black accents add depth, while soft lighting and greenery introduce a calm, lived-in atmosphere.
