Project Overview

This project is a comprehensive interior renovation design for the restaurant area of a hotel & casino building located in Batumi, Georgia.

While preserving the existing architectural potential of the building, the restaurant space was reimagined to meet contemporary user expectations, operational requirements, and the standards of a high-end hospitality experience.

Design Approach

The primary objective of the design was to create a luxurious, timeless, and strong spatial identity.

The restaurant was planned to offer different atmospheres throughout the day and night, responding to both dining and social interaction needs within a casino-hotel context.

The design concept was developed around the following core principles:

Fluid circulation within a large-scale interior volume

A balanced relationship between privacy and openness in seating areas

A strong functional connection between the restaurant and bar zones

An interior language aligned with the prestige and identity of a casino-hotel environment

Spatial Organization

The restaurant interior was divided into distinct zones to provide varied user experiences:

Main dining areas

Semi-public seating zones closely connected to the bar

More secluded seating groups designed for comfort and privacy

Structural elements such as columns were not treated as obstacles but rather as key design components. Through the use of paneling, metal detailing, and integrated lighting, these elements contribute to the rhythm and character of the space.

Material & Color Palette

Material selection was guided by a balance between luxury, durability, and timelessness.

The interior features:

Natural stone surfaces

Dark wood finishes

Brass and metal accents

Velvet and textured upholstery materials

Floor, wall, and ceiling designs were developed as a unified composition. In particular, the ceiling and lighting design became a defining element of the overall spatial identity.

Lighting Concept

Lighting was approached not merely as a technical requirement but as a primary design tool shaping the atmosphere of the space.

The lighting strategy includes:

General lighting to ensure spatial continuity

Decorative and pendant lighting to create focal points

Warm color temperatures to enhance the evening and night-time ambiance

This layered lighting approach allows the restaurant to transform its character throughout different times of the day.
