“自由之丘”以回归生命本真为空间设计中的核心理念，从宠物离世的自然命题中汲取灵感，试图打破传统殡葬空间的沉重与肃穆，通过温暖的设计语言传递对生命的尊重与慰藉。灵感源自《道德经》中“万物并作，吾以观复”的哲学思想，强调生命与自然的循环共生，以空间为媒介，为宠物与主人构建一个充满温度与诗意的告别场所。

“Memory Hill” centers on the idea of returning to the essence of life. Drawing inspiration from the natural transition of pet passing, the design moves away from the heaviness and solemnity traditionally associated with funeral spaces. Instead, it uses a warm design language to convey respect for life and offer solace. Inspired by the philosophical thought from the Tao Te Ching — “All things arise together, and I observe their return” — the space emphasizes the cyclical coexistence of life and nature. It serves as a medium to create a tender and poetic setting for farewell between pets and their owners.

走进“自由之丘”的第一刻，暖光裹着的小树晃了晃影子——墙上是其他毛孩子的照片，它们还趴在这儿晒太阳。

The moment I stepped into “Memory Hill”, a small tree bathed in warm light swayed its shadow on the wall — where photos of other furry little ones hung, still lying here, soaking up the sun.

进入室内，一切装饰被有意识地褪去。没有多余的摆设，仿自然色的艺术漆覆盖墙面，使它们退入背景。砾石混凝土的地面在静默中承载着时间的温度，暖光如薄纱自顶幕流淌而下，温柔地漫过空气的每一寸褶皱。

Stepping inside, every decorative element seems to have been intentionally stripped away. No unnecessary ornaments — just artisanal paint in soft, nature-inspired tones covering the walls, allowing them to recede gently into the background. The gravel-textured concrete floor rests in silence, carrying with it the quiet warmth of time. Above, soft light flows down like a sheer veil, spilling tenderly into every fold of the air.

我们将空间中原有的结构柱巧妙转化为设计的支点，产品陈列区以半围合的姿态与之共生。它成了记忆的线索，连结了原始与新生，也让光与视线在此自由穿行。

We’ve cleverly transformed the existing structural columns into focal points of the design. The display area wraps around them in a semi-enclosed way, coexisting with the architecture. The column becomes a thread of memory, connecting the original space with the new, while allowing light and sightlines to flow freely through.

穿行过展品陈列区，便抵达一方供人停驻与等候的休息之处。这里倚着一整面落地玻璃幕墙，内侧嵌有木格扇——随着时间流转，光线穿过木格，在室内投下不断变化的光影。晨光与夕照时分，影子被拉得斜长柔软；正午时分，则洒落清晰规整的光斑。木格如静默的裁光者，将自然光切割成富有韵律的画面，随时间在空间中游移与舒展。

After walking through the display zone, you arrive at a resting and waiting area nestled against a full-height glass curtain wall. Inside, a wooden lattice screen runs along it—as time passes, light filters through the grid, casting ever-changing shadows indoors. In the early morning or late afternoon, the shadows grow long and soft; at noon, clear and orderly patterns of light appear. The wooden lattice acts like a silent “light-cutter,” shaping natural light into rhythmic images that drift and stretch slowly across the room.

自大门始，初见「生命之树」静静生长，继而经过前台与水吧的轻快过渡，再漫步于展品之间，最终才抵达这处被光轻轻包裹的角落。动线如一首渐进的诗，必经陈列，方至休憩，不跳脱，不断裂，在行走中完成一场不经意的沉浸与陪伴。在吧台与产品展示区之间，一条笔直的走廊延伸开来。

starting from the entrance, you first encounter the “Tree of Life” growing quietly, then pass by the reception and water bar as a gentle transition, stroll among the displayed products, and finally reach this softly lit corner. The flow is like a gradual poem—you must pass through the displays before arriving at rest, without jumps or breaks, completing a subtle immersion and companionship along the way. Between the water bar and the product display area stretches a straight corridor.

长廊左侧的第一个房间是清洗间，入口旁的墙面上嵌有一道横长形的玻璃窗——它如一层柔和的视觉滤网，既允许家长在门外静静陪伴，又保持了清洁过程必要的距离与安宁。这处半隐私的空间，在关怀与尊重之间找到了温柔的平衡。清洗间内部，墙面与操作台均选用了绿色水磨石，但两者在色调上呈现细微的过渡：墙面的绿更为沉静，如苔痕沁入石中；而台面的绿则稍显清透，似水色映着天光。这种层叠的绿意，让空间在功能之上，多了一分静默而抚慰人心的诗意。

The first room on the left side of the corridor is the grooming room. A long horizontal window is set into the wall beside the entrance—like a soft visual filter, it allows parents to wait peacefully outside while maintaining the necessary privacy and calm for the grooming process. This semi-private space finds a gentle balance between care and respect. Inside, the walls and countertops are made of green terrazzo, with a subtle gradient in tone: the walls are a quieter green, like moss soaked into stone, while the countertops carry a clearer, lighter green, reminiscent of water reflecting the sky. This layered greenery adds a quiet, comforting poetry to the functional space.

长廊右侧的第一间，是宠物告别室。墙面覆以仿山丘质感的艺术漆，赋予空间一种沉静而包容的基底。

The first room on the right side of the corridor is where families say goodbye to their pets. The walls are finished with artistic paint that mimics the texture of hills, giving the space a calm and embracing foundation.

核心区域设有一方低伏的长台，线条平直而温润，可供安放与静默告别；周围错落分布着高低不一的圆柱台，如静谧的陪伴者，承载烛光或记忆的影像。两侧点缀着干燥的花材——它们褪去了鲜活的色彩，却保留了形态与肌理，在时间中凝结为一种静默的寓言。空间不试图掩饰离别，而是以材料、光线与形态，将一场告别沉淀为可触摸的安宁。

At the center sits a low, elongated platform with soft, straight lines—a place for rest and silent farewell. Around it, cylindrical stands of varying heights stand like quiet companions, holding candles or memory tokens. Dried flowers are placed here and there—faded from their vibrant colors, yet preserving their form and texture, becoming still-life metaphors suspended in time. The space does not hide the reality of parting; instead, through materials, light, and form, it lets a farewell settle into a tangible, peaceful silence.

这个空间以佛教的宁静与东方哲思为基调。墙面覆以温润的桃木色纹理，营造出一种包容而沉静的底色。天花造型被精心塑造为仿山丘之形——两侧是缓缓升起的半弧形，中央则嵌入一道细长的软膜天光。这道光，如同一条静谧的“光之路”或“裂隙”，强化了空间的宗教冥想氛围，引导视线与思绪向上。

This space is imbued with the tranquility of Buddhism and Eastern contemplation. The walls are clad in a warm peach-wood grain, creating an embracing and serene backdrop. The ceiling is carefully shaped to resemble gentle hills—soft, rising arcs on either side, with a sliver of soft, glowing membrane set into the center. This light stretches like a quiet “path of light” or a “cleft of light,” deepening the space’s meditative, spiritual quality and guiding both the gaze and the thoughts upward.

走廊的尽头，是静默的宠物纪念墙。地面的红砖切片与入口处遥相呼应，形成一条安静串联起空间始终的线索。在尽端的墙面上，我们嵌入了十六个微微发光的圆形洞口。每一个洞口都是一处温柔的安放处，让家长们可以留下爱宠生前最珍爱的小物件——也许是它们最爱的玩具、常吃的小零食，或是那件穿得最久的小衣裳。这些点点微光，不仅是对生命足迹的温柔纪念，更让整面墙成为一段安静、绵长、属于爱与被爱的故事。

At the end of the corridor lies a quiet Pet Memorial Wall. The sliced red brick flooring here echoes the material used at the entrance, forming a subtle thread that gently connects the beginning and end of the space. Embedded into the end wall are sixteen softly glowing circular niches. Each niche serves as a tender resting place for families to leave behind small, cherished objects from their pets’ lives—a favorite toy, a well-loved snack, or that little piece of clothing worn most often. These points of light not only tenderly honor the traces of life that once were, but also transform the entire wall into a quiet, lingering story of love and being loved.

基于宠物视觉对黄色的独特感知，设计以暖黄与米色作为主色调，搭配局部柔和的绿调，空间摒弃冰冷的符号，营造一个在生命终点仍充满色彩与温度的世界。楼梯以绿色为主调，通过材质与色彩的微妙层次，隐喻生命的渐进与循环。楼梯踏步采用绿色水磨石，而其缓冲台处则选用色调更深的绿色水磨石，构成第一层细腻的色彩过渡。墙面则统一铺贴着第三种、也是色调最沉稳的绿色马赛克砖。这三种由浅至深的绿色，形成一种视觉上的渐变韵律，如同生命的不同阶段。拾级而上，踏面与缓冲台的颜色在转折处自然交汇、深化，仿佛攀登一座葱郁的山丘。这连续的绿色阶梯，不仅是连接一层与二层空间的物理通道，更在每一步的抬升中，唤起一种关于生命延续、成长与循环的静默感知。原始建筑为120平方米、层高4.8米，通过局部搭建二层及下挖处理，拓展为双层复合空间。一层以公共空间、告别厅与祈福区为核心，通过直线形墙体与缓坡阶梯引导动线，营造流动而静谧的仪式氛围；二层为羽化直播间，以挑空设计与天窗引入自然光影，强化垂直空间的通透感。那座连接空间中的草绿色水磨石楼梯，不仅是功能的过度，更如同破土而出的生命藤蔓，静默的指引着一次向上的、从尘世往自然的“回归之旅”。

Based on the unique perception of yellow in pets’ vision, warm yellow and beige tones form the main color palette, complemented by soft green accents. The staircase is toned in green, with subtle layers of materials and colors metaphorically suggesting the gradual progression and cycle of life. The treads are finished in green terrazzo, while the landing platforms are rendered in a darker shade of green terrazzo, creating the first delicate transition of tones. The walls are uniformly clad in a third and most subdued green mosaic tile. These three greens—from light to deep—form a visual gradient with a rhythmic flow, much like the different stages of life. Ascending the steps, the colors of the treads and landings merge and deepen at each turn, evoking the feeling of climbing a lush hillside. This continuous green stairway is not only a physical connection between the first and second floors but also, with every step upward, quietly stirs a sense of life’s continuity, growth, and return. The original structure spanned 120 square meters with a ceiling height of 4.8 meters. Through partial mezzanine construction and floor excavation, it has been expanded into a layered, composite space. The first floor centers around public areas, farewell halls, and a prayer zone. Straight walls and gently sloping steps guide the flow of movement, shaping a quiet yet fluid ceremonial atmosphere. The second floor houses a streaming studio—featuring a double-height void and skylights that draw in natural light, enhancing the sense of openness across the vertical space. Connecting both levels is that grassy-green terrazzo staircase. More than just a functional transition, it rises like a tender vine breaking through soil—silently guiding the way upward, on a journey of return from the earthly toward the natural.

二楼设有独立的羽化直播间，这是一个安静而私密的陪伴空间。家人可在此通过直播，远程陪伴爱宠安宁走完最后一程。设计上延续了整体静谧的氛围，同时注重舒缓情绪与功能细节。地面铺设暖棕色地毯，既柔和吸收脚步与环境杂音，也为视觉带来沉稳温暖的包裹感。空间通过材质与色彩的细腻处理，将技术与情感安静联结，让告别在光影与触感中，完成一场温柔而庄重的陪伴。

The second floor houses a separate Transformation Live-Streaming Room—a quiet and intimate space for companionship. Here, family members can accompany their beloved pets through their final moments peacefully via livestream, offering comfort from afar. The design continues the overall serene atmosphere while focusing on emotional soothing and functional details. The floor is covered in a warm brown carpet, which gently absorbs footsteps and ambient noise while enveloping the space in visual warmth. Through subtle material and color choices, the room quietly bridges technology with emotion, allowing the farewell to unfold within light, shadow, and touch—completing a tender and dignified act of companionship.

空间材质选择动石、陶土砖、砾石混凝土及原木等天然材料，通过粗犷与细腻的质感对比，模拟自然生态的原始肌理。草木点缀与陶土墙垛的运用，进一步强化“回归自然”的主题，让每一处细节皆散发原始的生命力。

The space avoids cold, impersonal symbols, aiming instead to create a world filled with color and warmth even at life’s end. Natural materials such as dynamic stone, terracotta brick, gravel concrete, and raw wood are used throughout. The contrast between rough and refined textures mimics the raw feel of a natural ecosystem. The incorporation of greenery and terracotta wall stacks further reinforces the theme of “returning to nature,” allowing every detail to exude a sense of primal vitality.

从入口处的“生命之树”开始，经由草绿色楼梯的引导，完成告别、祈福、寄念的完整仪式。“生命之树”与楼梯的颜色呼应，成为了连接“彼岸”到“此岸”的视觉与精神纽带。外立面夯土墙面和透明玻璃，结合自然阳光和暖黄色灯光，弱化建筑的冰冷感，传递包容与安宁。告别厅中央设置环形高台，铺以天然花艺与蜡烛围绕，象征生命归尘的自然循环。

Starting from the “Tree of Life” at the entrance, visitors are guided by the grass-green staircase through a complete process of farewell, blessing, and remembrance. The color harmony between the Tree of Life and the staircase serves as a visual and spiritual link, connecting “the other side” with “this side.” The exterior rammed-earth walls and clear glass, combined with natural sunlight and warm yellow lighting, soften the building’s coldness and convey a sense of inclusion and peace. In the farewell hall, a central raised platform is surrounded by natural floral arrangements and candles, symbolizing the natural cycle of life returning to the earth.

“自由之丘”不仅是一个宠物殡葬场所，更是一处探讨生命意义的治愈之地。通过自然材料、色彩与光影的叙事，空间消解了死亡的沉重，转而赋予离别以温度与尊严。我们通过设计，强调告别不再是终点，而是一场静观万物轮回、生命复归本然的宁静仪式。

“Memory Hill” is more than a pet funeral space — it is a healing place that reflects on the meaning of life. Through the narrative of natural materials, colors, and light, the space dissolves the weight of death and instead imbues farewell with warmth and dignity. Through design, we emphasize that saying goodbye is not an end, but a quiet ritual — an observation of all things revolving, and life returning to its origin.
