Concept

ジャパニーズ モダン

今回の計画地である鎌倉店では、フェアトレードの 思想を元にした日本発のチョコレートブランドを、

世界ブランドへと昇華することを目標に店舗建築 をデザインしました。

コンセプトは「ジャパニーズ モダン」。

鎌倉店には、日本の風土から生まれた素 材を様々なカタチで取り入れています。

壁面のタイ ルでは和の雰囲気を感じさせる釉薬を用い、天井部 分は日本建築を意識させる木組みの手法を取り入 れました。

日本の建築を一言でたとえると「境界がない曖昧さ」です。

日本庭園の造園技法のひとつに「借景」と いう方法がありますが、日本では古くから庭園から見える山や森など、自然の景観を取り入れた建築・ 庭園づくりが盛んに行われてきました。

そこには四季を楽しむために、縁側に代表されるような「内と外と間」があります。

それぞれの関係性をデザインして、エントランスの周りには内と外を繋ぐ芝生の庭をゆったりと設けました。

街行く人の誰もが内部へと足を踏み入れたくなる、そんな建築を具現化で きたのではないかと思います。

Japanese modern

This time, at Kamakura store, I designed the store building on the purpose of sublimation the chocolate brand that was born in Japan into global brand. The concept is “Japanese modern”. In Kamakura shop, materials which were born from Japanese climate are introduced in various forms. The tiled wall, I used glaze to feel Japanese atmosphere. The part of ceiling, I adopted the style of timbering that makes us get conscious of Japanese architecture.

To put the Japanese architecture concisely, “Uncertain Boundary”.

There is one of the landscape gardening techniques of the Japanese-style garden, “borrowed scenery”. This technique means that you take in the landscape such as mountain and forest which is seen from the garden as a part of garden.

There is “inside, outside, and between”. Porch is one of the spaces which represented “between”.

Considering each relationship, I located the lawn garden which connect inside and outside around the entrance. Every passers-by would like to visit unconsciously, such a place was embodied, I think.
