Faculty of Pharmacy competition : Tablet as identity, circle as scientific community and contextual response.

An autonomous rounded volume acts as a pavilion in the green belt of Ljubljana. The multi-layered cross-connections multi-height illuminated atriums connect the entire program into an ambitious and modern meeting place for educators, students and other professionals. Faculty of Pharmacy becomes a meeting place.

The required flexibility is the major aspect of the system of linear spatial organization which enables changes during the design process as well as in the future use of the building. In order to highlight the identity and recognisability of the new institution we enclose the entire linear spatial organization with a distinctive circular wrap in order to avoid the generic.

Our conceptual proposal for the new Faculty of Pharmacy for University of Ljubljana was awarded honorable mention. Elaborated devotion to the future of science and education through an open competition.
