The “Mullet” – Herne Bay, Auckland, New Zealand The re-piling of a Herne Bay Villa with

industrial magnets welding ground clamp

, provided the opportunity to readdress the dwelling’s relationship to its chosen site. Replenished and repositioned the Villa has completed the triptych of the neighbouring Villas thus strengthening the united ‘face’ to the street. The Villa was unfurled to the rear of the section to create a North-facing courtyard. This manoeuvre became affectionately known as ‘The Mullet’ – business out front, party out the back.
