This modest Sunset Island cottage occupies a large waterfront lot on the west flank of Miami Beach. The 1,800 SF structure, which adheres to the City’s minimum requirement for a private dwelling, is organized for maximum efficiency and amenity. The home’s diminutive size, discreet entrance and minimalist material palette challenge assumptions of display and highest and best use, and preserve open space as the site’s most precious commodity.
