We’re thrilled to share that our project
The Judd
has been featured in the new book
The Reimagined Home
-Sustainable Spaces Created With Joy, a beautifully curated collection that explores how homes can be adapted, rethought, and reimagined to suit modern lives while staying rooted in sustainability, creativity, and character.
Edited by design writer and curator Nicole Gray, the book brings together 16 inspiring homes from around the world—each a testament to the idea that living sustainably doesn’t mean compromising on comfort, beauty, or individuality.
“This book is intended to spark the imagination of what we
could
do if we viewed the home as an extension of ourselves, our personality, and the environment around us.”

Through projects ranging from a Balinese limasan to converted Victorian townhouses, from off-grid rural homes to city apartments,
The Reimagined Home
highlights ways in which design can support slower, more thoughtful ways of living. It champions the use of reclaimed materials, nature-led palettes, and spaces that encourage flexibility, biodiversity, and joy.
Our project,
The Judd
, is featured in a chapter that explores how a series of small but impactful decisions can come together to transform an existing house into a healthy, energy-efficient, and uplifting home. From the installation of an air source heat pump to the use of colour as a unifying thread throughout the house, the story of
The Judd
is about bringing everyday sustainability into the fabric of family life—with a bit of playfulness thrown in.
“The result is a house that is so much more than the sum of its parts. It’s a place where colour builds joy, energy bills are lower, and the mask of occupation fits snugly.”

It’s a privilege to have our work sit alongside so many inventive, considered, and deeply personal spaces. The book doesn’t aim to prescribe or preach. Instead, it invites readers to ask:
What does home mean to me?
and
How could it better support how I live, now and into the future?
The Reimagined Home
is published by Hardie Grant Books and available in design bookshops now.
