Premium Homes on Old Farm Site
Court Farm
Private Developments
Residential
Our brief was for the redevelopment of 2 existing barns alongside 6 new semi-detached properties to form 9 new residential homes on a site located within the Court Farm settlement, part of the Clevedon Court Estate and its 14th Century Grade I listed manor house.
The redevelopment of the 2 existing barns had already been granted full planning permission but the 6 new semidetached houses were subject to reserved matters and had been through an iterative process with Historic England given their proximity to the Grade II* registered park and garden belonging to Clevedon Court.
The site played a major role in influencing our approach and design and the proposed aesthetics and layout of the project was born from, and firmly rooted within, this context. The houses were designed as a series of barns, with simple but varying roof pitches and clad with stone and anthracite-coloured sinusoidal cladding.
