Berlin 2014

“Just the essentials” specified the Moscow couple. With this principle in mind, we created this exquisite, yet minimalist Berlin pied-à-terre. Part of a large classical villa in the exclusive Grunewald district, the apartment features a light coloured concrete floor and soap finished ash wood units, that contrast with the Nero Marquina marble of the bathroom, kitchen, living room fireplace, and wall seating. A central box forms the entrance area, integral cloakroom, guest bathroom and utility storage facing the kitchen. All fittings, including handles, are concealed giving a completely clean look. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom are merged, with a free-standing bathtub and borderless chrome edged glass screened shower.
