Switch & Light

Switch and light is a floor lamp resulting from a collaboration between Marc Trotereau and designer Merel Karhof. Two different concepts merged in one object. The lamp is composed of two parts: a light designed by Merel and a switch invented by Marc. The two designs come together in a shared concrete base, which is split in two. The light and its switch are then separated but still linked by a bright colored braided cable running through the object, and two concrete surfaces that are fitting perfectly together. Marc Trotereau and Merel Karhof intended with this object to bring two ideas together by designing a new one.
