Located in the most glamorous area of ​​the French Riviera, the Grand Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, in Cap d’Antibes, France, was built as a haven for intellectuals and artists and opened in 1870. The illustrious American writers Ernest Hemingway and Gertrude Stein, painters like Pablo Picasso and Marc Chagall, as well as an incredible list of 20th century historical figures, have stepped on the iconic building for decades.

For this project, we seek inspiration in the affective memory that the building carries to propose a dialogue with the history of the place in its interior design project for the three main dining areas, the Bar La Rotonde, the Louroc restaurant for dinner and the Eden-Roc Grill. The stunning landscape of the garden and the path to the sea were also fundamental elements for the creation of the project, along with the poetic image of the moment when the rock meets the sea – typical scenario of the French Riviera.

Also, the natural fiber furniture that ties with Riviera’s effortless beauty. The grill and terrasse areas were inspired by the original nautical motifs of the Hotel. We aimed to preserve the identity of the space while interpreting it timelessly.
