Rising between a saltwater pond and the Atlantic Ocean, Seascape Residence was elevated ten feet above grade. Innovative stormwater management addresses the sites complex hydrology and high-water table by employing strategically placed rain gardens that double as flood mitigators and habitat for native pollinators. The design seamlessly blends with nature, minimizing traditional lawn space to enhance biodiversity and conserve water. Terraced steps and decking connect the raised residence with its surroundings, offering outdoor living spaces on the rear.

This project exemplifies the transformative power of design while addressing environmental challenges and fostering a deeper connection to this complex coastal environment.
