Odessa is a multicultural city outside of time, washed by a sea of emotions. It captivates with its ability to respect history and traditions. Only in its bustling embrace and on such a multi-layered foundation could the favorite of locals and tourists appear — the ensemble on Maly Fontan.

According to archival photographs, the Maly Fontan embankment complex once housed a buffet, bathing facilities, and a pier for pleasure boats. Based on these documents, we restored the buildings in the forms and style of the 19th century, but using modern technological structures and architectural solutions.

Одеса — мультикультурне місто поза часом, омите морем емоцій. Вона закохує своїм умінням поважати історію й традиції. Лише в її шумних обіймах і на такому багатошаровому підґрунті міг з’явитися улюбленець містян і туристів — ансамбль на Малому Фонтані.

Згідно з архівними фотографіями, на території комплексу набережної на Малому Фонтані колись розташовувалися буфет, купальні та причал для прогулянкових човнів. Спираючись на ці документи, ми відновлювали споруди у формах і стилістиці ХІХ століття, але з використанням сучасних технологічних конструкцій та архітектурних рішень.

All parts of the complex are connected by stairs and fences that stretch down steep slopes to the sea, linking the rescue station with the terrace, the café pavilion, and four pavilions that flank the descents to the complex's buildings.

The modern architectural interpretation of the bay consists of a restored rescue station, which has been converted into a café but still offers boat rentals. The retaining wall of the terrace is decorated with red boats, which colorfully emphasize the original function of the rescue station.

Усі частини комплексу пов’язані між собою сходами й огорожами, що стеляться крутими схилами до моря, поєднуючи рятувальну станцію з терасою, павільйон кафе та чотири павільйони, які фланкують спуски до споруд комплексу.

Сучасне архітектурне трактування бухти складається з відновленої рятувальної станції, що перетворилася на кафе, але зберегла можливість прокату плавучих засобів. Підпірна стінка тераси декорована червоними човнами, які колоритно підкреслюють початкову функцію рятувальної станції.

The largest pavilion was built over the well of the first “fountain” — the source from which Odessa received drinking water. It was this starting point that became the beginning of the attraction to this place.

Найбільший павільйон зведено над колодязем першого «фонтану» — джерела, з якого Одеса отримувала питну воду. Саме ця відправна точка й стала початком тяжіння до цієї місцини.

The new pavilion, La Cambala, was designed using silhouettes and details from the French Riviera of the late 19th century. It is complemented by pergolas and awnings made of real sailcloth: the structures resemble masts with sails, creating the atmosphere of a seaside town's waterfront area.

The pavilion stretches along the city's main pedestrian thoroughfare. The four slopes of the roof create a light silhouette, and the transparent walls with panoramic windows open towards the sea without obstructing the view of the beach.

Новий павільйон — La Cambala — запроєктовано з використанням силуетів і деталей французької Рив’єри кінця ХІХ століття. Його доповнено перголами та тентами зі справжньої парусини: конструкції нагадують щогли з вітрилами, формуючи атмосферу набережно-портової зони морського містечка.

Павільйон простягається вздовж головної пішохідної артерії міста. Чотири схили даху створюють легкий силует, а прозорі стіни з панорамними вікнами відкриваються в бік моря, не перешкоджаючи огляду пляжу.

The bright and calm interior is filled with sea air and greenery, creating a mood of eternal summer.

The bar is a functional and compositional link between the exterior and interior spaces of the café. It extends from the interior to the facade with an accent dome that echoes the domed tops of the complex's pavilions. The bar acts as a kind of gateway — for a quiet lunch inside or a drink for visitors to the bustling beach.

Світлий і спокійний інтер’єр наповнений морським повітрям і зеленню, що створює настрій постійного літа.

Бар є функціонально-композиційною зв’язкою між зовнішнім і внутрішнім просторами кафе. Він виростає з інтер’єру на фасад акцентним куполом, що перегукується з купольними завершеннями павільйонів комплексу. Бар працює як своєрідний шлюз — для тихого обіду всередині або напою для відвідувачів гомінкого пляжу.
