Eclectic City Apartment

170sqm apartment located in a 1933 brick building, with nice large gardens in the surrounding area.

Located to the right is the dining room and to the left the library. Double, solid oak sliding doors divide the three rooms. The library's original square panel and fixed shelves are painted with ‘Mahogany’ Farrow & Bal, an historic English color that can be found on the doors of Kedel stone Martble Hall. The dark color emphasizes the function of the room - namely the reading corner and TV room.

The herringbone parquet in oak is original, but oiled with white pigments.

The mirror experiment:

after cladding a hallway with mirrors and a restaurant with painted glass, the time was right to dress all the walls in a living room with mirrors. The living room has mirrored walls, but no large surfaces, because then you will constantly see yourself, and it is tiring. Instead, there are smaller surfaces that are decorated with art and furnished in the usual way.

The play between the mirror and the powerful Renaissance style frames prevents the environment from becoming heavy. The effect is less intrusive than you might think. The feeling of space is of course great, the light is reflected and the atmosphere is both elegant and glamorous. It gives the apartment a wow effect - the home's conversation piece.
