Trapezoid House

This intimate retirement home was built with a self-contained basement suite for rental income. The massing is inspired by the unusually shaped property and is designed to respect the humble post-war housing on the block. We designed this home as a vaulted bungalow interlocked with a two-storey rectangular tower that work together to define a series of outdoor courtyards, front and back.
