Kelly Deck Design was commissioned to design the interior of this extraordinary new three-story home on Marine Drive, in White Rock. With panoramic views of Boundary Bay, the 6000-square-foot property is one of few contemporary homes in the area. Though it’s an intimate private residence, it has all the polish of an elegant ocean-side hotel.

The home’s sultry lower floor is meant for evening entertaining.

The tasting room and media suite are rendered in autumnal grey, brown, and burnt umber. Upstairs, crisp ivory and graphite-stained panelling anchor a higher-contrast palette. The open kitchen and expansive great room invite relaxation as much as they do entertainment. The home, replete with simple forms and luxurious touches, is a sophisticated whole with discernible swagger.
