This is a major renovation in Lakeville that took a production builder home and made it truly custom.

First thing to go in the dated and under performing kitchen. Bye-bye oak cabinet and sheet vinyl floors!

The two-story Great Room is being closed off to add an a 4th bedroom and give the space a more intimate feel. The sad and lonely fireplace is getting the boot as well.

Over in this area we will be adding a new walk-in pantry as well a resource area. This space is now open to a Dining room at the front of the home. The Dining room will be closed off and revamped to a much need home office for our homeowner.

There is room for the entire neighborhood at this island! The resource center is equipped with the latest technology so we won’t miss a second of the game. The transom window keeps the adjoining office light and bright.

The backplash is a slate stack with glass tiles at the cooktop for easy clean up.

The granite is Volga Blue which ties in perfect to our slate blue, greens and charcoals at the splash.

I am so fortunate to have the clients that I do and this project was no exception.  Every job is different and always holds and element of surprise. This project my clients surprised me with some of the materials they choose, such as the bamboo flooring. Not for everyone, but when I get the opportunity to use it in a project I’m all over it. I lover the liner grain pattern and the warm color. This is also an extremely durable option for flooring.

The glass and slate stack was so fun for me but also outside most clients comfort level. The project defiantly took a more contemporary with elements such as the glass, light fixtures, cabinet design and small items such as the cabinet hardware.  The cherry on top is the slate blue wall color, it does a perfect job of pulling it all together.

This family will be spending many easy-breezy years in this kitchen!
