【4組作品 • 散發4種藝術氣息--明愛白英奇專業學校設計學系】
明愛白英奇專業學校設計學系作為「藝綻公園2014」的創意伙伴,當中分別有4組學生為是次大型展覽設計了4件大型的公共藝術作品,包括《選擇你的節奏》、《熊.抱》、《月常圓》及《長頸鹿的旅程》。
《選擇你的節奏》強調香港人生活節奏快,每天都在爭分奪秒。因此同學設計了一張椅,希望透過這件作品,讓香港人了解選擇自己生活節奏的重要性。
《熊.抱》相信香港人並非冷酷無情或消沉,只是忙碌的生活讓他們無暇與身邊的人相聚溝通。因此,作品以熊為主題,希望能促進人與人之間的互動,重建和睦的關係。
《月常圓》認為即使身處在不同的地方,我們也能抬頭看見同一個月亮。作品設計成一個「圓月」,代表即使我們當下與家人無法相見和相談,都彷彿可以通過它,使家人和我們連接在一起。
《長頸鹿的旅程》描繪出城市發展有時候為我們生活帶來的不便。同學嘗試以幽默的方式表達,把建築工地的起重機化身為長頸鹿,並反思自然與城市發展之間的平衡。
【4 pieces of artworks • diffusing 4 sweet flavors of art – Department of Design, Caritas Bianchi College of Careers】
Department of Design, Caritas Bianchi College of Careers, as one of the artistic collaborators of ArtAlive@Park 2014, has created 4 brilliant artworks namely Choose Your Own Beat, Hugging Bear, Reunion and The Trip of Giraffe.
Choose Your Own Beat emphasizes that city dwellers in Hong Kong have a quick pace of life and every minute counts. Therefore, students aim to raise people’s attention in the importance of choosing our own rhythm of living through this artwork.
Hugging Bear believes that Hong Kong people are not ruthless and indifferent as they look like, yet they are just too busy to show their consideration and to communicate with one another. Through these two bears, students would like to stimulate interaction among the audience and re-connect our relationships with one another.
Reunion believes that we could see the same full moon wherever we are. Although we may be away from our family and friends, we are linked together by the full, round moon.
The Trip of Giraffe describes the inconvenience caused by rapid development in Hong Kong. In order to encourage people to reflect on the balance between city development and nature with some humour, students have transformed the cranes at construction sites into giraffes."
