继硅谷之后，全球汽车制动系统领域顶级品牌——布雷博（Brembo）的全球第二座灵感实验室 Brembo Inspiration Lab 正式落地上海。项目选址于静安寺-南京西路CBD旁的会德丰国际广场。这里是全球金融脉搏与上海百年文脉的交汇之地，城市精神与时代节奏在此自在流动。milanesi | paiusco 受邀担任空间设计，将 Brembo 对于创新的深刻追求，以及愿与城市精神共振的愿景寄托于这处场域。

Following the launch of its first Inspiration Lab in Silicon Valley, Brembo—one of the world’s leading brands in automotive braking systems—has unveiled its second in Shanghai. The project is located in Wheelock Square, near Jing’an Temple, where the pulse of global finance meets the layered heritage of Shanghai. The space captures the spirit of the city and the rhythm of the times—dynamic, forward-looking, and alive with energy. milanesi | paiusco was invited to lead the spatial design, translating Brembo’s pursuit of innovation and its vision of resonating with the spirit of the city into a compelling architectural expression.

项目概述

Project Overview

milanesi | paiusco 为 Brembo Inspiration Lab 打造的这处独特空间，融合了品牌源自意大利的工业传承与中国场域的创新能量。秉持“home-like office”的理念，营造出一个以员工福祉与创造力为核心的办公环境。项目重新定义了“办公空间”的维度——空间不再是静态的承载场所，而是一个流动的动态空间系统。在这里，行为本身成为激发创造力与推动创新的源动力。人与空间的关系从被动使用转向双向激活——这是一种动态共生的关系，通过人的行为运动、空间的功能性和前瞻思维三者的融合，来塑造一种生动的交互体验。

Designed by milanesi|paiusco, this distinctive space merges the brand’s Italian industrial heritage with the innovative energy of the Chinese context. Guided by the “home-like office” concept, it creates a work environment centered on employee well-being and creativity. The project redefines the dimension of what an office can be—no longer a static container, but a dynamic spatial system in continuous flow. Here, human behavior itself becomes the driving force behind creativity and innovation. The relationship between people and space shifts from passive use to mutual activation—a living interplay of movement, function, and forward-thinking that unfolds in real time.

设计围绕品牌主旨——“Turning Energyinto Inspiration”，旨在打造一个不仅承载办公功能，更能够激发灵感的多感官体验空间。从平面布局到材料选择，每一个设计决策都服务于创意的发生。身体的移动在此成为思维延展的隐喻：斜向布置的墙体打破常规的几何秩序；流动的路径引导视角转变；可移动的家具则鼓励空间的自由组合与持续重构。在此，milanesi | paiusco 构想的，是一座真正的灵感催化器——以有意识的设计逻辑层层铺陈，每一处细节皆有所指、而非偶然。Brembo Inspiration Lab 的空间设计突破了传统办公场所的界限，它更像一件被精准调校的灵感工具，沉静而敏锐，随时准备唤起思维的波动。从几何形态的推演，到声学策略的精细布设，每一处细节都基于清晰而克制的判断——设计不再喧哗，而是作为温和却有力的存在，引导行为、知觉与节奏的转变。在这里，灵感不是偶发的闪现，而是一种被悄悄“养出来”的状态。它藏在日常之中，随着时间积累、酝酿、流动。如同呼吸般自然，轻微，却从未停歇。

In response to the brand’s theme, “Turning Energy into Inspiration”, the project aims to create a multi-sensory environment that not only supports work functions but actively stimulates inspiration. From spatial layout to material selection, every design decision is driven by the intention to foster new ideas. Physical movement becomes a metaphor for cognitive expansion: diagonally arranged walls disrupt conventional geometry, flowing circulation guides shifts in perspective, and movable furniture encourages flexible configurations and continuous spatial transformation. What milanesi|paiusco envisions here is not merely a workplace, but a true catalyst for inspiration—realized through a consciously layered design process, where element always anchored in intent. Brembo Inspiration Lab redefines workspace norms as a finely tuned instrument designed to provoke thought and spark inspiration. Every detail—from geometry to acoustics—is the result of conscious design thinking, where architecture becomes a quiet force that nudges behavior, perception, and rhythm. In this environment, inspiration is not pursued—it is prepared for. It gathers, builds, and eventually unfolds in motion.

动态空间

Creativity in Movement

设计采用了折线交错的平面布局，突破了常规的直线走廊的局限性，在拓宽空间使用维度的同时，也编织出了一套全新的动线系统。人们会在行走中不断发现意料之外的空间体验，激发灵感，办公环境因此成为一个富有节奏感的场域。设计摒弃了 “固定—使用—终止”的传统办公空间模式，空间被构想为一个持续流动的系统：

– 视线转换：曲折的动线打破视觉预期，引导人们不断转换视角

– 动态家居：桌体可灵活转换，从常规工作台切换为环形展台

– 节奏活跃：不同功能区通过材质与色彩的切换，构建出层次分明的空间节奏

– 个性化角落：斜向布置的墙体所形成的多样角落，营造出选择性的互动或独处体验

在这里，空间成为灵感发生的容器与媒介，而动线本身，则是一段为灵感而设的动态轨迹。

A zigzag layout breaks away from the rigidity of conventional corridors—expanding use and introducing a new spatial rhythm. Movement reveals unexpected encounters, sparking inspiration and reactivating space as a dynamic, sensory field.

Unlike the static logic of “fixed–use–end”, Brembo Inspiration Lab is envisioned as a continuously flowing system:

– Angular circulation breaks visual expectations, encouraging constant shifts in perspective

– Modular tables transform fluidly—from workstations to circular display platforms

– Transitions in material and color define zones, creating a layered spatial rhythm

– Diagonal walls shape a variety of corners for selective interaction or solitude

In this case, space becomes both a container and a medium for inspiration—its circulation unfolding as a dynamic path designed for creative momentum.

品牌理念“Turning Energy into Inspiration”在大厅这一核心空间中得到了完美诠释。大厅作为整个空间的核心脉搏，被精心打造为一个激发灵感的动态装置。通过多功能空间的交互整合，它具象化地呈现出动态空间激发创造力的转化。

大厅的空间结构呈现出了与 Brembo 制动系统一脉相承的精确性、响应性与自适应性能——通过对细节的精准掌控，实现功能与表现的极致平衡。

The theme of “Turning Energy into Inspiration” finds its perfect expression in the lobby. As the beating heart of the project, the lobby services as an architectural device in motion, where every element embodies the transformation of energy into inspiration.

– Circular floor plan simulates an energy field, enabling enclosure, expansion, circulation, and reconfiguration.

– Sliding partitions function like gears, seamlessly converting the formal reception area into an active and collaborative experimentation.

– Semi-circular LED surfaces releases visual energy, acting as a dynamic surface that alters perception and atmosphere.

The spatial structure reflects the same precision, responsiveness, and adaptive performance that define Brembo’s braking systems—mastered through control.

多感官的融合体验

Multi-sensory Orchestration

设计师希望塑造一个以感官引导思维的环境（ Feel the Space Before Thinking ），通过精心设计的多感官体验，唤醒人们的感知，让灵感不再偶然，自然发生

– 宜人的光环境: 在确保充足照明的同时，桌面布局巧妙地避免了屏幕带来的反光，以减轻视觉疲劳；同时白天以自然光照明为主，光线随时间流动变化，有利于调节工作节奏。

– 声场分区: 声学系统根据空间功能划分进行优化，通过差异化吸声系数与混响时间控制，实现专注工作区与协作会议区的声环境精准适配。

– 丰富触觉界面: 金属、木质与柔性材料的交替带来冷热材质的触觉对比，激发感官体验。

– 良好的视觉情绪: 心理舒适被纳入设计逻辑，绿植、色彩以及材质的搭配有效缓解压力，带来情绪上的平衡。

通过多感官的精细介入，办公空间不再是被动承载功能的容器，而是一个具有感知和反馈能力的“生命体”，主动与人互动，激发灵感，打破思维边界，助力创新发生。

Inspiration is no longer left to chance — it is deliberately activated through the precise orchestration of multi-sensory design.

– Light：Adequate illumination is achieved while minimizing screen glare to reduce visual fatigue. Natural daylight variations are embraced to help regulate work rhythms.

– Sound：The acoustic environment is tailored to different zones, enhancing focus in some areas while promoting collaboration in others.

– Touch：The interplay of contrasting materials—cool metals, warm woods, and soft textiles—creates a rich tactile landscape that stimulates sensory exploration.

– Emotion：Psychological comfort is carefully considered, with integrated greenery, colors and different materials, offering stress relief and emotional balance.

Through the multi-sensory engagement, the workspace transcends its role as a passive container and becomes a responsive, living system—one that interacts with its users, inspires new thinking, and fosters continuous innovation.

空间，应是协作而非层级的舞台

Work Like a Team, Not Like a Hierarchy

开放办公空间打破了传统办公空间中等级分明的边界。在这里：

– 风景平权：高管与员工共享静安寺的同一片景观视野，享有同样愉悦的办公体验

– 鼓励链接：工位之间不设隔断，鼓励开放交流，每张办公桌都可能触发下一场头脑风暴

– 场景融合：休闲区、共享餐吧与思辨角提供了非正式的会议场景，使办公环境成为平等协作的包容性场域

这是一种以空间为载体的组织文化：不以职级定义位置，而以想法定义阵型，平等且开放。

The open workspace in Brembo Inspiration Lab challenges the conventional boundaries of hierarchy within office environments. Here:

– Scenic Equality: Executives and employees share the same view of Jing’an Temple.

-Encourage Connectivity: Every desk has the potential to start the next brainstorming session.

-Spatial Integration: Lounge areas, pantry rooms, and think corners serve as inclusive arenas for equal collaboration.

This reflects an organizational culture shaped by space—where positions are not defined by title, but by ideas; a structure that is open, fluid, and dynamic.

– 采用可回收的高性能铝材，以提升耐久性

– 采用低排放涂料与胶黏剂，保障室内空气健康

– 工厂预制，现场干法装配，有效减少废料并缩短工期

– 80%构件以工业化产品形式设计，突破传统建筑构件模式

– 采用回收材料制成的高密度毛毡板，兼具良好的声学和热性能

这一整体策略体现Brembo的前瞻视野——真正的可持续设计必须贯穿于从概念到落成的每一个阶段。

The project frames sustainability and design excellence not as competing ambitions, but as interdependent principles. Every decision—from the choice of materials to construction methodology—was driven by a balance of performance, aesthetics, and environmental responsibility, resulting in spaces that are functional, elegant, and ethically conscious.

– Recyclable, high-performance aluminum enhace durability

– Wood wool panels sourced from reclaimed materials, providing acoustic and thermal comfort

– Low-emission paints and adhesives for healthier indoor air

– 80% of elements conceived as industrial products rather than traditional building components

– Off-site prefabrication with dry on-site assembly to reduce waste and construction time

This approach reflects Brembo’s vision—proving true sustainability is embedded throughout every phase, from concept to completion.

For milanesi|paiusco and Brembo, Brembo Inspiration Lab was never conceived as a “finished design”, but as an ongoing spatial experiment in brand thinking: It centers on inspiration as the core of spatial logic, transforms collaboration into a fluid organizational strategy, and establishes a system where sensory experience, rhythm, and behavior are interconnected. Just as motion never ceases, inspiration never settles. Brembo Inspiration Lab is the living prototype of a brand in constant flux, where energy begins to flow and continuously evolves into new possibilities.
