The museum, founded by Purat (Chang) Osathanugrah, carries forward the artistic legacy of his late father, Petch Osathanugrah, whose renowned private collection serves as the foundation for Dib Bangkok’s exhibitions. Reflecting Bangkok’s evolving role as an international art hub, American practice WHY architecture’s design follows a contemplative journey across three levels. The ground floor retains the industrial origins of the former warehouse with exposed concrete surfaces, creating a raw, grounding experience. The second floor, inspired by introspection, features an old Thai-Chinese window grille—a vestige of the building’s past—encouraging a deeper connection between space and history. The top floor is dedicated to white-cube galleries illuminated by natural skylights, culminating in the sawtooth roof that defines the silhouette of the museum. Additional architectural highlights include The Chapel, a cone-shaped gallery clad in mosaic tiles, designed as a meditative space for immersive installations.

The overall spatial design of the museum draws inspiration from the philosophy of the Osathanugrah family, who envisioned a space rooted in the Buddhist concept of "awakening"—a place that is both minimalist and refined, immersive and restorative. The museum comprises eleven gallery spaces, unified by a palette of muted industrial tones such as white and gray. The open-plan layout, free of dividing walls, embodies a distinct loft aesthetic. The expansive and fluid interior provides a subdued and neutral backdrop for exhibitions, enhancing curatorial flexibility while allowing each artwork to assert its own presence within the pared-down environment.

As visitors wander through the museum, the exhibition route begins on the ground floor. Exposed concrete structures and unadorned textures establish the spatial tone, while expansive glass doors and windows create a sense of transparency and visual extension. On the second floor, the façade is enveloped in white paneling, fostering an atmosphere of increasing serenity and intimacy. Ascending to the third floor, the pure white exhibition space is illuminated by natural light streaming through skylights, enhancing its clarity. The soft light delineates a tranquil, contemplative setting, guiding viewers to immerse themselves in the dialogue between the present moment and the artwork. From the outdoor courtyard to the interior halls, galleries of varying scales and atmospheres progressively unveil the rich lifetime collection of Purat Osathanugrah.

These structures were progressively completed over time, alongside the growth in available resources. The museum's highlights also include: a spacious central courtyard; the cone-shaped exhibition hall "The Chapel," clad in mosaic tiles and set within a water feature; an outdoor sculpture garden extending along the second-floor walkway; a sawtooth skylight roof structure on the third floor; and a dedicated top-floor space for special events. By skillfully integrating historical memory, innovative techniques, and a serene ambiance, the design team has transformed this site into a platform for global artistic dialogue and creative learning, allowing visitors to gain inspiration and profound experiences through the interplay of architecture and art.

以京都龙安寺枯山水石庭为灵感打造的中庭，将在开幕后展出波兰艺术家艾丽西亚·柯瓦德的雕塑装置《局部即整体》。作品由十一颗大小不一的石球构成，错落悬浮于开阔的庭园之中，宛如在宇宙间静谧运行的微型星系。通过球体间的比例关系与空间秩序，艺术家呈现其对物质世界的哲学反思，以及对时间与空间感知的深刻探索。

The central courtyard, inspired by the karesansui (dry landscape) stone garden of Kyoto's Ryoanji Temple, will feature the sculptural installation "Pars pro Toto" by Polish artist Alicja Kwade after its opening. Composed of eleven stone spheres of varying sizes, the work is arranged as if floating within the expansive courtyard, evoking a miniature galaxy silently traversing the cosmos. Through the proportional relationships and spatial order among the spheres, the artist presents a philosophical reflection on the material world, alongside a profound exploration of the perception of time and space.
