近日,在德国副总理拉尔斯·克林贝伊(Lars Klingbeil)的见证下,iQ space 柏林举行了奠基仪式,标志着德国最重要的生物医学研究未来项目之一的正式启动。我们设计的这座新中心将集初创企业孵化器和生产设施于一体,旨在打造一个利用基因和细胞疗法进行创新治疗的生物技术生态系统。该项目位于柏林北港的黄金地段,毗邻拜耳总部、夏里特医院和柏林中央车站,进一步巩固了柏林作为国际生命科学中心的地位。项目预计将于2028年竣工。
“该中心首次以这种形式将前沿研究、临床实践和产业相结合。我们很自豪,iQ space凭借其在开发复杂生命科学项目方面的丰富经验,能够在加速将创新成果惠及患者方面发挥关键作用,” iQ space管理合伙人文森特·韦格(Vincent Wege)在奠基仪式上表示。

这个全新的iQ space位于柏林的拜耳园区内,由拜耳集团(Bayer AG)与柏林夏里特医学院(Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin)共同运营,将为多达900人提供工作场所。作为配备生产设施的初创企业孵化器 ,该转化中心将通过基因与细胞疗法 ,构建一个专注于创新治疗方案的生物技术生态系统。在这里,研究人员将致力于从最初构想到产品上市成熟的全流程新药开发工作。
On the Bayer campus in Berlin, the new iQ space to be operated jointly by Bayer AG and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin will provide a working environment for up to 900 people. Designed as a start-up incubator with production facilities, this translational center will create a biotech ecosystem for novel treatment options using gene and cell therapies. At the center, researchers will be working to develop new medicines—from the initial idea up to market maturity.

The translational center combines research, development, and production of gene and cell therapies at the heart of the German capital. Geared towards interdisciplinary ways of working and tasks, it will put people in the focus while making the research topics being investigated tangible to the surrounding community. The new build’s transparent design embodies the concept of ‘science on display.’

这座建筑坐落于园区最南端的北港区(Nordhafen),与城市、邻近的公园及拜耳园区展开直接对话。其立方体体量通过水平结构的立面与城市环境产生关联,透明玻璃基座使建筑与周边绿植融为一体。
Situated at Nordhafen, the southernmost part of the campus, the building engages in a direct dialogue with the city, the adjacent park, and the Bayer campus. Its cubic volume relates to its urban surroundings through the horizontally structured façade. Its transparent glazed base allows the building to interlock with the surrounding greenery.

面向河滨步道的外挑形成了一个防风雨区域,同时为咖啡馆提供了空间。从这里,游客可以欣赏到二楼实验室中最先进的技术设备与工作流程。转化中心的现代科研图景在建筑的上层逐步展开。
A projection towards the riverside promenade creates a weather-protected area that also provides space for a café. From this point, visitors enjoy views of the state-of-the-art technology and workflows in the second-floor laboratory area. The modern research world of the translational center unfolds on the upper levels.

A modular grid and the building’s simple basic shape allow for layouts adaptable to flexible uses that can be interconnected by shared areas extending across two stories. The integrated GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) facility provides researchers with a state-of-the-art environment to develop and test innovative therapies under the highest quality and safety standards. It ensures full traceability and a seamless path from laboratory concept to clinical application.

折叠式立面元素赋予建筑抽象的外观,同时整合了功能性设备。根据建筑朝向的不同,形成各异的投影与角度,从而优化遮阳效果。光伏板环绕屋顶技术设施铺设,高效捕获太阳能。面向河岸的一侧,立面延伸为阳台,为科研人员提供可俯瞰北港全景的休憩空间。
The building has been designed like a small town, including areas for meetings and exchange, shared lunch and coffee breaks, and personal relaxation. The ground floor accommodates restaurant and conference facilities, while the upper floors house rentable office spaces with zones for collaborative and focused work. They are designed as communal areas accessible to all tenants, while a lushly planted roof terrace encircles the building to provide space for recreational purposes.

Surrounded by a riverside park with access to the water, the iQ space interweaves science, nature, and the city to create an inviting place with a distinct identity that is open to employees and visitors alike. It makes a decisive contribution to re-establishing Germany as a location for the development and production of innovative therapies.
