Project Description

Set against the serene and structured backdrop of Islamabad, this private residence is an exploration of ultra-modern minimalism and rectilinear geometry. Moving away from traditional ornamentation, the design focuses on the "honesty of materials"—combining natural textures with sharp, clean architectural lines to create a home that is both a sanctuary and a statement.

Design Philosophy

The residence is composed of interlocking volumes that create a sense of movement and depth. The design prioritizes spatial transparency, utilizing floor-to-ceiling glass expanses to blur the boundaries between the lush outdoor landscape and the interior living spaces.

Architectural Features

The Framing Concept: A massive charcoal-slate textured frame anchors the central facade, providing a bold "picture window" effect that highlights the main living quarters.

Material Contrast: The cool, white-stucco surfaces are warmed by the strategic use of rich timber cladding and natural stone pergolas. This juxtaposition ensures the building feels inviting despite its modernist edge.

The Pergola Wing: To the left, a series of stone-clad columns support a timber pergola, creating a transitional outdoor lounge space that plays with light and shadow throughout the day.

Laser-Cut Detailing: Custom black metal privacy screens with organic patterns provide a decorative yet functional element to the upper-level balconies, adding a layer of contemporary craftsmanship.

Lighting & Landscape

The landscape design follows a formal, symmetrical layout with manicured hedges that ground the airy structure. Integrated LED strip lighting under the eaves and minimalist chandeliers within the glazed volumes ensure the villa transforms into a glowing sculptural piece at night.
