Detailed Urban Planning Proposal – Fayoum

this project presents a detailed urban planning proposal for a 28-acre area in Fayoum Governorate, developed as part of an academic urban planning course.

The study area is strategically located near the Nile River, which influenced the planning approach in terms of land use distribution, road hierarchy, and public spaces.

The project includes:

Proposed building regulation lines to organize plots, control building setbacks, and improve urban order.

A comprehensive road network proposal, defining main, secondary, and local streets with clear right-of-way dimensions to ensure efficient movement and accessibility.

Proposed land use planning, integrating residential, commercial, service, medical, religious, and recreational uses.

Reutilization of vacant and underutilized lands, transforming them into active urban components that support community needs.

Allocation of public services and open spaces, including a medical center, mosque, playground, plazas, and service areas.

A detailed planning framework that enhances connectivity, walkability, and functional efficiency, while respecting the existing urban fabric.
