The arcade typology keeps a measured distance between storefronts and the street, forming semi-public corridors that soften overt commercial presence. When addressing the idea of a “landmark,” we avoid superficial symbolism. For BOLON, embedding local culture and aligning with the brand’s communicative vision are equally essential.

After establishing core functions, the design prioritizes freedom of movement. All spatial strategies center on “free browsing.” Within a relaxed scale, subtle coherence is achieved through consistent design language, shaping a unified environment.

Layered structural systems recalibrate spatial proportions. In the three-story layout, vertical circulation becomes a narrative element, guiding emotional transition between levels. Step by step, visitors engage with spatial qualities and experience the richness created by structure.

In the Minnan region, stone has long been favored for its resistance to salt and alkali and its adaptability. Shaped by local craftsmanship, it carries both practicality and memory. Through materials rooted in place, the space conveys warmth, calmness, and a sense of belonging.
