On this land nourished by both nature and culture, "Hill Garden" is not a fabricated concept, but a sincere response - it has grown from the land itself, using design as its language to pay tribute to the local terrain and cultural context.

Space unfolds gradually, following the memory of the land, allowing architecture to return to the essence of dwelling, and life to the rhythm of nature.

在喜洲，时间以另一种方式流淌——苍山雪线勾勒天际，洱海波光浸润坝田，白族老院子的飞檐将流云裁成画幅。

In Xizhou’s unique temporal rhythm, where Cangshan’s peaksmeet Erhai’s waters, we approach spatial design as an exercise incultural translation.

在这片被自然与人文双重滋养的土地上，「山丘花园」并非一个凭空创造的场景，而是一场诚恳的回应——它从土地中生长而出，以设计为语言，向在地的风土与文脉致敬。

我们不做风景的制造者，而是成为场域的转译者。空间依循土地的记忆徐徐展开，让建筑回归栖居的本质，让生活回到自然的节拍。

We do not aim to be creators of scenery, but rather translators of the site. Space unfolds gradually, following the memory of the land, allowing architecture to return to the essence of dwelling, and life to the rhythm of nature.

苍山十九峰透迤如黛，洱海碧波荡漾似砚。在这山水环抱的喜洲坝子上，山丘花园选择以老院子的姿态成为大地最谦逊的注脚。白族老人常说：“三坊一照壁，四合五天井”，这不仅是建筑智慧，更是与自然共处的哲学。

The design employs the courtyard not as a relic, but as a livingspatial device. Adhering to the Bai architectural logic of "threerooms, one screen wall; four sides around a skywell," the plan is re-configured to frame specific views and control circulation.

我们让空间成为土地的转译者：粗粝墙面延续老院子的血脉，特意保留的原始老墙低语着时光记忆。院落中央，一棵老树向上生长，穿出屋檐，与天空对话；吧台依树环抱而建，形成一处人与树共栖的场所。

We envision space as a translator of the land: the rough-textured walls continue the lineage of the old courtyard, while the intentionally preserved original walls whisper memories of time. At the heart of the courtyard, an aged tree grows upward, piercing through the eaves to converse with the sky. A bar counter embraces the tree, forming a shared habitat where people and tree coexist.

黑陶汽锅蒸腾的不仅是食材，更是哈尼梯田的晨雾；风物器皿在此成为文化容器，瓦利篾席编织山野的温度，编织扇面盛装着族群共生的智慧。

The black pottery steamer releases more than steam - it is the mist of Hani’s terraces. Each object carries culture: a bamboo mat holds the mountain’s warmth, a woven fan bears the wisdom of coexistence.

我们以“双园记”的叙事重构空间体验，让老院子在两种自然意境中自如流转。

We reinterpret the spatial experience through the narrative of "ATale of Two Gardens," allowing the old courtyard to flow seam-lessly between two distinct visions of nature.

前院取意「山野·闲庭」。一道沉稳的大地台贯穿始终，原木垒砌的吧台保留着天然的粗朴质感，与上方的楸木构架共同勾勒出疏朗的轮廓。松枝轻曳，闲适如画，推门而入，便仿佛步入一片被小心收藏的山野。

The front courtyard, "Mountain Wilderness . Leisurely Garden," is defined by an earthen platform and a rustic log bar. Beneath the open catalpa framework, swaying pines create a scene of serene beauty - stepping inside is like entering a preserved fragment of the wild.

穿过室内，景致徐徐转换，后院在眼前从容展开。这里与无边的麦田自然相接，仅以低矮绿植轻巧勾勒边际，将视线全然交付给远山与麦浪。二楼露台仿佛浮于这片金色海洋之上，芒编椅与楸木几悄然安置，不惊扰风景，只成为它的一部分。

Passing through the interior, the scene gently transitions as the backyard unfolds. It merges naturally with boundless wheat fields, edged only by low greenery that frames the distant hills and rippling grain. The second-floor terrace appears to float above this golden expanse, with rattan chairs and catalpa tables placed quietly - not interrupting the view, but becoming part of it.

从前院的“藏”与“收”，到后院的“放”与“展”，空间节奏在行走间自然过渡。这不是刻意营造的景致，而是建筑向自然的一次温柔退让，让栖居成为一首与风土共呼吸的散文诗。

From the "concealment" and "restraint" of the front courtyard to the "release" and "expansion" of the backyard, the spatial rhythm transitions naturally as one moves through. This is not a deliberately crafted scene, but rather architecture’s gentle concession to nature - allowing dwelling to become a prose poem breathing in rhythm with the land.

老院子在垂直维度中生长出新的诗意。竹节的天然肌理自地面向上延伸，沿着保留原貌的老墙楼梯攀缘至二层，粗犷石墙的原始质感在挑空处展现出更完整的肌理变化。

The old courtyard’s poetry climbs vertically：bamboo jointsextend upward along the preserved stairway, while therugged stone wall unfolds its full texture in the double-height space.

二层平台，是一处与光影相拥的静谧场域。白族老宅的木构梁架自然裸露，展现着民居原有的结构之美；一侧粗犷的岩壁与垂落的纱幔柔化了空间的轮廓，其间点缀的拱形门洞，在不经意间牵引着视线的流动，为这方东方场域平添了几分漫游的诗意。

The second-floor terrace is a tranquil space embraced by light and shadow. The exposed wooden framework of the traditional Bai dwelling reveals the inherent beauty of its structure, while a rugged rock wall and cascading gauze soften the edges of the space. Arch-shaped openings, dotted throughout, subtly guide the flow of vision，adding a layer of wandering poetry to this East.

凭栏俯望，视线掠过疏朗的绿植，一层的户外院落景致在脚下铺展——外摆座椅隐现于草木之间，勾勒出闲适的轮廓。移目窗外，无垠的麦田自窗框内漫涌而入，与天际线浑然相接。建筑的木椽黛瓦、院落的闲情与田野的壮阔在此刻交织，共筑成一幅动静相宜的栖居长卷。

Over the railer, the courtyard unfolds through sparse greenery -seating nestled among plants, tracing leisure. Beyond the window, wheat fields flow to the horizon. Here, wooden eaves, courtyard intimacy, and field expanse blend into a living scroll where movement and stillness meet.

山丘花园的每一个设计抉择，都是与这方老院子深度对话的结果。我们不用喧哗对抗喧哗，而是以沉默的匠心构建另一种商业可能。

Every design choice in Hill Garden stems from a profound dia-logue with this old courtyard. Rather than confronting noise with noise, we respond with quiet craftsmanship - building a different vision of what commerce can be.

在这里，用餐成了一场与风土的对话。人们倚着百年老墙，窗外是起伏的麦浪，桌上是冒着热气的松茸。二楼的摇椅轻轻摆动，将远山框成一幅流动的水墨。空间以最温柔的方式，让商业隐退为背景，让体验成为主角。

Here, dining becomes a dialogue with the land. Guests lean against century-old walls, gazing through windows at rippling wheat fields, while steaming matsutake mushrooms grace the table. Upstairs, a rocking chair sifts gently, framing the distant mountains like a flowing ink-wash painting. In the gentlest of ways, the space allows commerce to recede into the background, letting experience take center stage.

当暮色为梁柱镀上金光，当山风轻拂过纱幔，设计的智慧藏于这份留白之中——让人愿意停留的，从来不只是美味，更是这片土地馈赠的完整生活体验。

As dusk gilds the beams with golden light and the mountainbreeze brushes against the gauze curtains, the wisdom of designlies in this very restraint - what makes people willing to stay isnever just the flavor, but the complete experience of living offeredby this land.

在这片麦浪翻涌的土地上，山丘花园以老院子的姿态，种下的不仅是一家餐厅，更是一粒文化的种子。这方歇脚之地，邀您在此体验慵懒就餐的闲适，感受山野与麦田环绕的诗意栖居。

On this land of rippling wheat, Hill Garden emerges from the old courtyard - planting not just a restaurant, but a seed of culture. A resting place in the fields, it invites you to linger over leisurely meals and dwell poetically, embraced by wild hills and golden waves.
