This project involves the extensive renovation and vertical expansion of an existing villa in Egypt to create a unified multi-generational home. The design reconfigures the lower levels into two apartments for the parents, while adding a new third storey dedicated to the children's living quarters. To maximize usable floor area, the original U-shaped balconies have been enclosed, and a new cylindrical volume was introduced to streamline vertical circulation. The exterior transformation replaces dated classical elements with a modern geometric facade featuring vertical louvers that ensure privacy and solar protection. A climate-responsive material palette of white stucco and breeze blocks is used to reduce heat gain and enhance natural ventilation throughout the residence. The result is a seamless architectural integration of old and new, providing a contemporary aesthetic that respects both family privacy and the local environmental context.
