Grizzle House is a pure expression of scale, proportion, and light. It offers a comfortable family retreat in rural Singapore. The house has three floors, including a basement designed as a separate space for extended, comfortable guest stays. Light wells were designed to maximize natural light, accessible through the bedrooms and gym. The design utilizes a natural color palette, minimalist furniture, and wood paneling on the windows. All selected materials create interesting compositions of light and shadow. The kitchen cabinets are clad in metal, creating a subtle visual contrast between the materials and adding depth to the design. The kitchen opens onto the terrace, pool, and fire pit.

The ground floor consists of an open hallway, living room, and kitchen-dining room, creating a shared, open space for family gatherings. A striking and dominant feature here is the decorative tree, which reinforces the connection between nature and the living space. It creates an ever-changing interplay of light and shadow on the floor. A high ceiling with an accent pendant light floods the spacious entryway with natural light. The second floor is more private and designed for two adults. It features a comfortable study and a master bedroom with its own walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom.
