HOUSE | MOSCOW | 1568 M2
If you ask us what kind of interiors we enjoy working on most, we'll answer: large homes. Firstly, it's always a challenging and ambitious project, and we love that. Secondly, there's usually much more scope. When the house design is developed in parallel with the interior, it's possible to create the perfect layout. And a house interior requires designing complex and interesting functional areas. For example, for this project, we designed a spa area with a swimming pool, hammam, and cryosauna. It was our first time working with such spaces, and it was a truly exciting experience.
INVICTUS is a project for a large family home. The house is located in a beautiful location amidst a pine forest. Our task was to create a cool, brutalist interior that would look expensive, stylish, and timeless, yet also be cozy and comfortable. We ended up with a deep, dark interior filled with warm materials (both in tone and tactile feel), art objects, and accent lighting.
The family often hosts guests, so we needed to create many comfortable, comfortable seating areas. The main room in the house is a spacious kitchen-living room with double-height windows. This room features a large panoramic window, making the exterior part of the living room. We used finishes that complement the house's exterior and surroundings: wood paneling, rough stone, and abundant plants. The living room features two large seating areas, a table for 10, and a kitchen with a marble island.
The master bedroom occupies the entire right wing of the house. This single, private space houses the bedroom, a double walk-in closet, a bathroom, and a terrace. The bedroom's interior echoes the same motifs—deep colors, wood, and plants. The second wing of the house contains three children's rooms, each with its own dressing room and bathroom. Another guest bedroom is located on the ground floor.
The spa area is located on the first floor of the house. The main space features a 10-meter pool, a seating area with a video projector, and a small bar with a marble island. The spa's interior echoes the house's common themes—dark colors and stone. No colorful tiles or bright colors—only darkness and an enveloping, warm light that will help you unwind and relax.
For this project, we also worked on the exterior. Along the interior of the house is a terrace where we placed several relaxation areas with sun loungers, armchairs, and a table. In the center of the space is a fire pit with a soft round sofa. And in the corner of the space is a cozy nook with a garden swing and a fountain.
The main advantage of a country house compared to an apartment is its large area. This allows for many different functional areas that will make life more comfortable. Behind the living room is a second kitchen with a spacious pantry. The house also has a garage and storage for car accessories. The basement features a gym, laundry room, wine cellar, and additional storage.
