欧华尔顾问有限公司（“ 欧华尔 ”）以往参与多个新一代办公空间设计项目，以专业知识满足香港高端客户所需。当要筹备自家全新办公空间时，其设计团队便借此机会重新构想，让新空间驱动内部协作迈向未来，同时体现欧华尔的核心价值。

The Oval Partnership has brought its expertise to new-generation office designs for high-profile clients across Hong Kong. And when it came time to create its own new space, its design team took the opportunity to reimagine how the space could move its collaboration into the future while embodying its core values.

“ 我们认为现代工作空间不只是办公场所，而是一个社交空间，一个实验室，让我们先构思、后试验，继而实践崭新理念。” 是次焕新由蔡雅雯（Wendy Tsai）与禤铭扬（Nelson Huen）一同担任项目总监，领导整个重新设计项目 。

‘We regard the modern workspace as not just an office, but a social space, a laboratory for generating, testing and turning new ideas into practice,’ says Project Director Wendy Tsai, who led the redesign along with Project Director Nelson Huen.

欧华尔的创作过程跨越领域，除了建筑师、城市规划师和设计师外，更有不同范畴的专家团队参与，涵盖城市政策、新闻传播、叙事、场所营造、社会工作、物权及土地法、可持续发展、可步行性、数据科学、企业战略及零售分析，共同构思发展策略和设计理念。禤铭扬表示 ：“ 办公空间的设计旨在促进同事间的实体交流，加强视觉连系，鼓励以理念和实务互相碰撞，破旧立新。”

Oval’s creative process is cross-disciplinary, including not only its architects, urban planners and designers, but also its teams of in-house experts in disciplines including urban policy, journalism, storytelling, placemaking, social work, property and land law, sustainable development, walkability, data science, corporate strategy and retail analysis, all working to co-create development strategies and concepts. ‘We designed the office space to maximise the physical and visual connectivity between our team members, encouraging “creative destruction” of competing ideas and practices,’ says Huen.

秉持此理念，项目的主要设计目标是打造创新、可持续发展及以人为本的工作空间。蔡雅雯谓 ：“ 我们的目标是创造一个创新 ‘ 枢纽 ’，体现实践中学习的工作间设计理念，同时以三大符合当代趋势的核心原则为依归 ：混合型工作模式、员工福祉和环境责任。”

With this in mind, the overarching objective was an innovative, sustainable and human-centric workspace.

‘Our aim was to create an innovative ‘hub’ that embodies a learn-by-doing approach to workplace design, guided by three core principles that align with contemporary trends in hybrid work, employee well-being and environmental responsibility,’ says Tsai.

团队以场所营造为设计方向，空间设计成开放式的 “ 游乐场 ”，设有灵活的单元区域分隔空间，俨如创作人的工作室。为扩展人际交流，设计时没有以墙板或独立房间划分工作站，并布下划一的视觉连结，让每个座位的视线皆能看到公共空间和窗户，加强协作和开扬的氛围。布局上也减少尽头处，让空间有效流通，善尽其用。中央区域设计成仿如舞台的 “ 意念盒子”，配合玻璃幕墙，发挥创新实验室的功能，促进创意和协作。通过可移动的木隔板，可以将“ 盒子”塑造成不同大小的充裕空间，视觉上一目了然，同时仍保留隐私。“‘ 舞台 ’ 的开放设计让人一眼尽览，多角度透明鼓励信息流通，同时用预制木隔板保障隐私。” 禤铭扬解释 ：“ 我们希望利用这里接待业界客户、举行各类活动及知识交流会。”

整体布局纳入自然光、人体工学家具与分散式休息区，融入轻松游玩的气氛，促进同事的生产力和幸福感。甫走到入口处，由 “ 意念盒子”引入的自然光照亮了一室，环境恰如禤铭扬形容的 “ 材料策略简单朴实，以夹板和镀锌钢为主，取其质感温暖、易于取得及用途广泛。”墙面系统与木板及玻璃组成的隔间皆以现成产品打造，尽量减少建筑废料和现场施工，简化工程和沟通流程。日后租约完结时，这些模组化方案也便于搬运、采用和回收再造，毋须拆卸弃置。

The layout integrates natural light, ergonomic furniture and decentralised breakout spaces that bring a light, playground-style vibe, enhancing both productivity and well-being. On entry, the visitor is greeted by natural light flooding in from the idea box, and what Huen characterises as ‘a simple, honest palette centred on plywood and galvanised steel, chosen for their warmth, availability and versatility.’ The wall system and the wood and glass partitions are created from off-the-shelf products, minimising waste and on-site work, and simplifying construction and communication. The modular approach also means the fit-out can be relocated, adapted or repurposed at the end of the lease, avoiding demolition and landfill.

“ 我们结合混合型工作模式、员工福祉和环境责任的三大原则，同时证明合理预算也能带来别具创意且影响深远的设计。” 蔡雅雯解释：“ 我们印证了低技术的基础配置同样能带来可持续性，而且不一定要付出高昂成本才能实现创新。”

‘ We integrated our three principles around hybrid work, employee well-being and environmental responsibility while demonstrating that creative, high-impact design is achievable within realistic budgets,’ says Tsai. ‘We’ve shown that low-tech fundamentals can deliver sustainability, and innovation does not need to come at a premium price.’

除了简约美学这一大特色，深入细看后会发现与别不同的细节：饰板和细木工赋予丰富的视觉趣味 ；饮水机、储物柜、会议室及工具墙的位置都注入巧思，自然融入空间中，并设置茶水间等设施。办公室里外采用了嵌入式及模块式的电源插座和储物柜，充分发挥实用性和灵活性。

“ 电线槽、电源插座和隐藏式 LAN 端口沿着整个空间的低位铺设，以解决墙身电源插座空间不足的问题，电线整理也更整洁利落，免却地面出现电线的情况。” 禤铭扬说。

While the simplicity is a standout feature, further inspection shows nuance and detail: fins and millwork provide visual interest, while water stations, storage, meeting pods and a tool wall are all thoughtfully integrated. Other amenities include a pantry. Throughout, electric sockets and storage are both embedded and modular, maximising practicality and flexibility.

‘Trunking with electric sockets and concealed LAN ports runs along the periphery of the entire space at a low level, addressing the limited amount of vertical surface space for power supply and cleanly managing cable to achieve a cable-free floor,’ says Huen.

模块式家具结合了电线管理系统 ；可调节高度的工作站能切合不同的工作和会面形式，并可通过调节窗帘，让自然光线成为空间的重点元素，缔造用户为本的友善环境。另一个设计重点是可持续性，通过简单色调、模块化工程与其他元素呈现。

Furniture is also modular, with integrated cable management. Workstations all have flexible heights to cater to different working and meeting styles, while natural light forms a key element via adjustable curtains to maintain a user-centric and user-friendly environment. Sustainability was another key focus, reflected in the simple palette and modular construction as well as in other elements.

禤铭扬解释 ：“ 我们循环再用物料，例如将旧办公室的吧台加装回收箱，装配电线管理系统以及路轨灯和嵌入式层架等自旧办公室回收的可调节装置。” 团队也采用智慧节能MEP系统供应新鲜空气，结合无油漆、无胶水的施工过程与室内绿化措施，进一步提升空气质素和环境福祉。办公空间有效降低欧华尔的碳足迹，缔造更具可持续性的工作场所。

‘We reused materials, like the long bar table from our previous office, which we retrofitted with new recycling bins, cable management and adjustable fittings taken from the previous office such as track lights and wall-mount shelving,’ says Huen. The team also employed a smart, energy-efficient MEP system, with air quality and well-being further boosted by its supply of fresh air, the lack of paint or glue used in the construction, and the use of indoor plants. The space therefore reduces Oval’s carbon footprint and promotes a more sustainable workspace.

设计团队的设计策略和物料应用同样别具效率，有效减低成本及简化工程，优化施工流程。通过使用 Matterport 扫描技术创建空间的数字模型，团队可在有需要时调节设计，精简工程，促进沟通。

“ 现时的办公空间更能呈现欧华尔的宗旨，展现以人为本的价值观，促进员工发挥创意和生产力。” 蔡雅雯续道 ：“ 这里也成了跨界协作的灵活空间，我们希望能够凝聚社群，秉持人本场所营造的精神，激发新的灵感。”

The design team also embedded efficiency into both the design strategy and the use of materials, reducing costs and streamlining the construction phases for a more optimal process. This included using Matterport scanning through construction, creating a digital replica of the space to adjust the design as needed while streamlining construction and communication with contractors.

‘We now have a space that better reflects the Oval Partnership’s principles and people-centric values, and one that enables us to work more creatively and productively,’ says Tsai. ‘It also provides a flexible space for multidisciplinary collaboration, where we hope the community will be inspired as it gathers in the true spirit of human-centric placemaking.’
